Job Title: Senior Scientist – AI, Machine Learning

About the Role:

I am seeking a skilled Senior Scientist in ML to join our AI Biotech client. This role will focus on developing and fine-tuning AI/ML models for discovery and protein engineering. You will work with internal R&D data and cutting-edge infrastructure to accelerate therapeutic development in immuno-oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

• LLM development involves extending and fine-tuning to support sequence-to-structure-to-activity modeling for antibody discovery.
• Data engineering responsibilities include building scalable pipelines to generate, process, and augment training datasets from internal R&D projects.
• Embedding and vector database work requires structuring data using tools like Milvus and LangChain, with storage and retrieval handled via vector-capable databases such as MariaDB.
• Automation tasks involve managing end-to-end data flow from laboratory information management systems (LIMS) into AI pipelines.
• Parallel computing includes leveraging frameworks like MPI, Ray, or Dask to efficiently scale model training across CPUs, GPUs, and HPC clusters.
• Software integration entails developing and maintaining core infrastructure to support AI workflows using programming languages such as Python, C++, or Julia.

Requirements:

• PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Bioinformatics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Julia
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Understanding of antibody discovery or immuno-oncology is a strong plus
• Familiarity with parallel/distributed computing
