Job Title: Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Role: Contract

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Contract Duration: 6 Months, extendable


Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant for a 6-month contract based in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Finance and Controlling modules, especially within the mining sector. This role requires immediate availability and a hands-on professional who can drive end-to-end SAP FICO solutions in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP FICO modules, including:

1. General Ledger (GL): Chart of accounts, parallel ledgers, recurring entries

2. Banking: Electronic Bank Statement (EBS), bank reconciliations, BCM, and third-party

integrations

3. Accounts Payable (AP): Vendor management, invoice processing, tax, and payments

4. Asset Accounting (AA): Lifecycle management, depreciation, and integration with GL

and MM

5. Travel & Expense Management Systems (TEMS): Integration with systems like Concur,

policy setup, and approval workflows

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Provide support during integration and user acceptance testing phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP FICO-related issues in both project and production environments.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, HR) to support integrated business processes.
  • Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Keep abreast of SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations and industry best practices.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 3 full-cycle implementations.
  • Deep expertise in GL, Banking, AP, AA, and TEMS configuration and support.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, especially Universal Journal and Central Finance functionalities.
  • Solid understanding of business processes within the mining industry is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
