Job Role: SAP BASIS CONSULTANT

Job description:

•            Install and configure SAP applications such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other related SAP components.

•            In-depth understanding of SAP R/3, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP Cloud Products

•            Set up and manage the SAP client and server infrastructure.

•            Monitor the performance of SAP systems to ensure high availability and optimize system resources.

•            Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP system performance, including memory, CPU, and disk utilization.

•            Manage SAP databases (e.g., Oracle, HANA, SQL Server, SAP ASE, DB2, MaxDB), including backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

•            Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrading, and data archiving.

•            Ensure the security of the SAP environment by implementing necessary patches and security protocols.

•            Plan, test, and implement system upgrades, patches, and support packs.

•            Ensure that all SAP applications and systems are up-to-date and compliant with the latest security standards.

•            Identify and resolve system and application issues by analyzing logs and providing technical solutions.

•            Manage and configure SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for efficient transport of data between SAP systems.

•            Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure that SAP systems can be restored in the event of a failure.

•            Work closely with SAP functional consultants to ensure proper system integration and alignment with business processes.

•            Ensure that the SAP systems are well-configured to support business operations.

•            Create and maintain documentation for all technical configurations, processes, and procedures within the SAP environment.

•            Document issues, fixes, and best practices for future reference.

•            Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and Unix systems.

•            Proficiency in SAP Basis tools such as SAP NetWeaver, Transport Management System (TMS), and Solution Manager.

•            Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.

•            Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for SAP deployments.

•            Familiarity with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments.

•            Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP GUI.

•            Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and cross-functional teams.

•            Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

•            Administer user access, roles, and authorizations within SAP systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
