Job Title: Senior Research Data Analyst
Department: Institutional Research
Reports to: Vice President of Finance and CFO
Status: Full-Time, Benefit Eligible
Rate: $55,000-$60,000
Location: Lisle Campus
Position Summary: The Senior Research Data Analyst investigates, researches, gathers, analyzes, and summarizes institutional data in support of information and research needs for planning and policy-making decisions. The focus of this position is to provide in-depth analytical and statistical expertise, including developing and maintaining dashboards summarizing and presenting analytical results using various data visualization methods and tools.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepares and disseminates institutional statistical reports to institutional programs, working units, and leadership.
2. Coordinates preparation and submission of reports to regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and other relevant entities; works with various entities to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency for all reporting.
3. Coordinates and participates in the completion of the annual IPEDS survey and IBHE filings.
4. Maintains existing and develops new Tableau dashboards for internal data users.
5. Collaborates with key stakeholders to provide in-depth data analysis and insights into institutional outcomes based on key performance indicators.

1. Commitment to data quality, accuracy, and integrity while professionally handling confidential data.
2. This position is not remote, as it requires in-person collaboration and interaction.
3. Manages data issues in thoughtful, consultative ways.
4. Supports implementation of best practices in maintaining data quality and standardization per data governance policies and processes.
5. Utilizes analytics to identify trends and conduct comparative analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required in math, computer science, analytics, business or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience or experience in a related field with emphasis on data analysis, statistics, programming, management systems or other research-oriented disciplines. Experience being a liaison or partner working diligently with various business processes and operational needs.
Specific Skills: Demonstrated experience integrating large datasets from multiple sources, including developing and maintaining simple and complex queries that translate data needs from stakeholders into complete and valid datasets.

Physical Requirements: May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Must reach, bend, stoop, lift. Must sit, walk or stand for long periods of time. Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.
