Job Description

We are looking for a strong web app developer with prior experience in either active software development and maintenance projects preferably in the Telecom or Utility domain. The primary focus will be to implement and enhance user interfaces and features together with automated unit and integration tests. You will be working closely with our collaborative team, supporting and building projects as required. The code you write will need to be cleanly organized and of the highest quality. You’ll also help ensure solid application performance and an excellent user experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Developing new features and user interfaces from wireframe models
• Ensuring the best performance and user experience of the application
• Fixing bugs and performance problems
• Writing clean, readable, and testable code
• Cooperating with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with web development using React
• Proficient in Java/JavaScript Frameworks Node JS.
• Proficient in React.
• Database: PostgreSQL / PostGIS
• Proficient with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking.
• Experience with profiling and debugging applications.
• Proficient in working with Python, Kubernetes and Dockers.
• Proficient in working with Source Code (Github).
• Prior experience working in an Enterprise Development Environment
• Linux: Ubuntu or RedHat
• Web Servers: Apache
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure)
• Prior experience working in Utility or Telecom IT Projects Experience would be an asset.
• Experience with Geo-server, Open Layers
• Experience working with Geospatial Data
• Experience working with Postgres - able to write triggers, functions, procedures, sql code etc.
  
  

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
