Job Description The Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) Hardware Engineering Organization is seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer to join our Rapid Prototype Development Team. This role requires deep technical insight, systems-level thinking, and hands-on engineering excellence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of prototype hardware, encompassing digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design. Key responsibilities include: * Architecture definition and schematic capture * Circuit card assembly (CCA) design and analysis * Embedded firmware and software development * Interface and cable harness design * Component selection and integration * Hands-on laboratory testing, validation, and troubleshooting Operating under the guidance of technical leads and in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will influence design decisions, mentor junior engineers, and help drive technical strategy. We are seeking candidates with a strong command of modern design and analysis tools, proficiency with advanced lab instrumentation, and a passion for innovative engineering. Experience with rapid prototyping, hardware-software integration, and defense or aerospace systems is highly desirable. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
