Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Purpose

• Team lead for day-to day Measurement activities within the Estimating / QS team
• Development of Quantities in support of Business needs
• Incorporates Design changes into the Quantities
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

• Preparation of Quantities and Manage the back of house QS teams within the Delivery Partners
• Reporting on progress and performance to the Estimation team.
• Review high level quantities prepared by others including the PMC, cost consultants and internal Departments.
• Ensure NEOM Cost Estimating Procedures including are being followed
• Provide input into cost forecasts where required
• Prepare Tender Queries based upon design information issued.
• Develop bench marking for Quantities Substructure / Superstructure / Façade / Finishes / Civils
  
  
  

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience

• 10+ years Quantity Surveying & Measurement experience.
• Preferable five (5) years experience in the GCC.
• Proven track record of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role
• Hands on experience undertaking QS
• Hands on experience with managing change
• Hands on experience with estimating software and cost database systems
  
  
  

Knowledge

• Knowledge gained from estimating experience in relevant industry sectors
  
  
  

Skills

• Report writing and presentation of Quantities
• Good communication skills with multiple levels of Management
• Proactive approach to problem solving in preparation of quatities
• Team player with ability to lead
• English proficiency, written and spoken
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields;
• Chartered Membership in professional associations e.g. AACE, RICS or similar (advantage).
