About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer – UI/API Automation to lead automation efforts and ensure high-quality digital experiences. In this role, you will design and implement robust automation frameworks, collaborate with development teams, and drive quality initiatives across UI and API layers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated and manual testing approaches.
• Hands-on automation expertise using Java/Selenium for UI testing and Java/Rest Assured for API automation .
• Experience with UI Path, Playwright for component testing and front-end automation.
• Strong background in API testing using Postman, SOAP UI, and Swagger UI .
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber BDD, and Hybrid frameworks .
• Ability to configure, update, and enhance automation frameworks for improved efficiency.
• Expertise in ecommerce testing with platforms like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, AEM, and Hybris .
• Strong understanding of ecommerce workflows including product browsing, shopping cart, checkout, order processing, and payment gateways.
• Experience working in Agile environments with test management tools like ALM, JIRA, or ADO .
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, and SonarQube .
• Establish and maintain QA best practices, ensuring efficient and scalable testing processes.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define quality metrics and drive improvements.
• Provide effective client and stakeholder management , including direct coordination between offshore and onshore teams.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Strong expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Experience with ecommerce test automation strategies and domain-specific challenges.
• Familiarity with cloud-based test execution platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or Perfecto Mobile .
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in UI/API test automation, framework development, and quality engineering best practices.
• Strong background in Agile testing methodologies and continuous integration practices.
