What you will be doing :

Managing the CE marking process for investment projects

  • Ensuring that the process of obtaining CE marking for equipment included in the scope of investment projects is completed before production tests. Ensure a strong CE strategy requiring deep knowledge of CE-marking process.
  • Coordinating activities throughout all stages of the project to ensure CE-marking requirements and leasing creation of the necessary technical documentation. Take initiatives and demonstrate leadership in CE-marking activities. Work independently, seeking guidance when having doubts that cannot be resolved with existing experience and knowledge. Function as mentor for less experienced colleagues. Provides expert guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Having competencies in CE marking and conformity assessment of equipment and installations specific to production processes at ROCKWOOL.
  • Regularly reporting project status and risks to the Project Manager and Line Manager.
  • Solving complex technical tasks taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Business and Stakeholder Understanding : Have a good understanding of business and stakeholders' needs. Actively work with stakeholders to identify their needs and to suggest suitable proposals.


Managing documentation

  • Ensuring compliance of documentation with European legal regulations, local laws, and internal organizational standards.
  • Ensuring documentation quality in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitoring the timeliness of documentation deliveries by external suppliers and the internal project team, and undertaking necessary actions.


Leading risk assessments for production equipment and installations

  • Assessing compliance with legal regulations as included in the Declaration of Conformity.
  • Supporting the project team during meetings, advising on solutions, and documenting outcomes in official records.
  • Initiating virtual inspections to verify compliance and propose optimal safety solutions.
  • Ensuring the final version is ready before releasing the design for manufacturing.


Inspections of equipment

  • Conducting safety inspections for integrated installations and equipment that is part of scope for assigned projects (Walk The Line).
  • Verifying legal regulations and other aspects mentioned in relevant documentation.
  • Conducting inspections at factories located in various international locations.
  • Ensuring availability and readiness for business travels.


Review of tender documentation

  • Reviewing and approving documentation before releasing the tender.


Collaboration and communication

  • Maintaining effective communication and positive relationships with project team members, factory representatives, and suppliers.
  • Communicating in a professional and efficient manner in daily teamwork.


What you bring :

The role of Quality Engineer requires a proactive mindset, with a focus on team collaboration and stakeholder management. You should possess a high level of communication, autonomy, decisiveness, and time management skills.

In addition, you should meet some of the following requirements :

  • Strong focus on equipment documentation and the CE-marking process
  • Solution-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with Harmonized Standards of EU Directives
  • Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineering experience
  • Familiarity with functional safety aspects for production lines
  • High level of communication skills in English (fluent in both speech and writing)
  • Willingness to travel 20 days/year
  • Knowledge of Pressure Equipment, Low Voltage, EMC, and ATEX Directives (will be an extra asset)
  • Knowledge of Steel Structure EN 1090 (will be an extra asset)
  • CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert or other certificates related to machinery and functional safety (will be an added advantage)
