We are looking for a
QE Lead – API Automation to lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, driving innovation and excellence in API test automation. In this role, you will develop and implement robust testing strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure software quality across all stages of the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated and manual approaches.
- Define and drive best practices for API test automation, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including Agile and Scrum.
- Hands-on experience in API automation using Java and Rest Assured.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger UI.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber BDD, Rest Assured/Karate.
- Ability to design, build, and enhance automation frameworks and configure/update framework components.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including tools like Gradle, Groovy, GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Sauce Labs.
- Experience with test and defect management tools such as ALM, JIRA, ADO.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define quality metrics, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Lead test execution efforts, coordinate defect triaging with multiple integration teams, and provide E2E testing oversight.
- Analyze testing results, provide actionable insights, and drive process improvements to enhance product quality.
- Strong experience in non-functional testing (NFT).
- Client and stakeholder management, including direct coordination with offshore and onshore teams.
- Excellent knowledge of test management, project delivery, and process improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
- Experience in performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and microservices testing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills. Familiarity with AI-driven test automation tools is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on API test automation.
- Proven ability to drive automation strategy, improve testing efficiency, and enhance software quality.
