About the Job

As a Senior Python Developer at SmartQ, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications. You’ll ensure 100%-unit test coverage and deliver secure, high-performance backend systems. You’ll collaborate with frontend teams and support production environments to resolve bugs swiftly.

Key Responsibilities

• API Design & Development: Build scalable REST APIs for multi-platform use.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Frontend teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Production Support: Resolve production and regression issues quickly.
• Third-Party Integration: Integrate and support third-party solutions.
• AI & Prompt Engineering: Leverage AI to enhance development efficiency.

Skills Required

• Expertise in Python, backend development, and microservices.
• Proficient in designing REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases.
• Strong unit testing skills and ensuring code coverage.
• Familiar with Serverless architecture and web frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.).
• Experience with third-party integrations and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech).
• 4+ years in backend/cloud development.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with AI in backend development and prompt engineering.
• Experience working with global teams and agile methodologies.
