Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations at our Khopoli facility. This role plays a critical part in sourcing key raw materials—including various grades of sheet metals and cold rolled steels—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement that supports our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of industrial raw materials, especially sheet metals and cold rolled steels (CRCA).
• Manage sourcing and vendor development for specific grades such as IS 513 D / HR1 / HR2 / HR3, and CRCA Grades like IS 513 Part 1 and Part 2.
• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies and cost-control measures.
• Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain and expand relationships with both domestic and international vendors.
• Coordinate with production and inventory teams to forecast material requirements.
• Ensure all purchases comply with internal quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Continuously analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sources.
• Drive improvements in procurement processes for efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong background in Purchasing and Procurement within the manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of sheet metal and cold rolled steel grades, particularly:
• IS 513 D, HR1, HR2, HR3
• CRCA grades: IS 513 Part 1 and Part 2
• Proven expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools is advantageous.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or managerial role.
• Direct experience with sourcing sheet metals and cold rolled steel grades is mandatory.
