Position Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced and resourceful BCC Sourcing Engineer to lead the development of a reliable supplier base for heavy fabrication and precision machining parts in India. This role demands deep expertise in identifying and qualifying vendors capable of delivering export-quality components for industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will also be well-versed in international trade regulations, demonstrate strong cross-cultural communication skills—especially with German colleagues—and be committed to maintaining high-quality sourcing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for heavy fabrication and machining parts, ensuring capabilities align with global export requirements.

• Drive the qualification process of new suppliers, including audits, sample approvals, and quality system evaluations.

• Develop and manage strategic sourcing initiatives to support production needs in Germany and globally.

• Ensure vendors meet international quality standards and timelines, with a strong focus on export-readiness and compliance.

• Collaborate with design, quality, and project teams to ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated and met by suppliers.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of import-export laws, documentation, and customs procedures to support international logistics.

• Monitor market trends, new manufacturing technologies, and supplier capabilities to ensure a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Minimum 10 years of exclusive experience in sourcing heavy fabrication and machining parts for industrial applications.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing suppliers for export-quality components.

• Strong understanding of import/export regulations, Incoterms, and international trade compliance.

• Excellent spoken and written English is a must.
