Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Regulatory
Location: Mumbai
Role Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager – Regulatory to lead and manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects in the insurance domain, with a strong focus on regulatory and financial requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional IT projects. The role requires effective collaboration with business units, technical teams, and legal entities to ensure timely and compliant project delivery in line with ERGO’s IT delivery framework.
Key Responsibilities
Understand insurance domain processes and identify system involvement in new regulatory requirements.
Coordinate continuously with business units to clarify evolving requirements during development.
Organize and facilitate meetings between stakeholders and technical teams.
Support legal entities (LEs) with policy and procedure implementation, ensuring timely closure of compliance gaps.
Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring clear evidence and documentation to support sign-offs.
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and meeting summaries for program stakeholders.
Proactively manage project risks and issues, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with ERGO internal teams to resolve planning and delivery challenges.
Manage project schedules, governance, milestones, and delivery within the ERGO IT Delivery Framework.
Coach and guide junior project managers on ERGO’s IT project management processes.
Oversee all project correspondence, status updates, executive reports, and planning documents.

Key Competencies and Skills
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Proficient in MS Office, BMC, Confluence, and Azure Boards
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Expertise in project budgeting, scoping, planning, and scheduling
Ability to foster and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders
Nice to Have
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
Candidates from non-technical backgrounds must have at least 1 year of relevant experience
MBA in IT, Finance, or Insurance is also acceptable (especially for Requirements Engineer/Test Engineer roles)
Project Management certification is desirable
10+ years of experience in project management with a strong focus on IT delivery
Proven experience in managing regulatory and financial IT implementations in a large, complex enterprise environment, preferably in CFO contexts and group-wide system integrations
Demonstrated capability in managing cross-functional teams and multi-stakeholder environments
