Sr. Project Manager Overview
We seek a Senior Project Manager who is an experienced Engineer or Designer that has primary responsibility for successfully executing multiple projects simultaneously and higher risk projects which are large and/or complex. Senior Project Managers use their management and communication skills to direct the project team and communicate with T/E/S management and the client. Through appropriate project budgeting/pricing, utilization of staff resources and cost controls, Senior Project Managers seek to maximize project profit margin. A Senior Project Manager is a fully competent Designer or Engineer and may at times be asked to function in that capacity.
We are interested in an individual with demonstrated experience:
Responsible for the development of project estimates and budgets that assure profitability of the project and satisfaction of client requirements.
Responsible for the oversight of their team’s development of detailed project plans that ensure direct labor multiplier according to the estimate, on-time project completion and with the Sr.
Engineer assigned to the project, the quality of the product.
Responsible for maintaining customer contact.
Responsible for the activities and results of the project staff.
Responsible for engaging in selling activities.
T/E/S’ clients build projects in many / most states.
Maintains a working knowledge of company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail programs, team collaboration software in use in the office.
Travel is occasionally required and may be required of the Project Manager. Some of this travel will require overnight, or on occasions, several days away from the Project Manager’s place of primary residence. Customary travel expenses will be paid by the Company with appropriate expense reporting as may be required at the time.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
Works in both on-site, field locations as well as in the engineering office. Time spent in a general office environment will require the use of standard office machines. Field locations will consist of under- construction and finished job sites. Caution is to be executed to avoid falls, trips, head bumps and other accidents. Some work will be outside and may require inspection during inclement weather.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, 5 years of demonstrated experience with electrical/mechanical engineering projects in the building and construction or facilities engineering industries.
A valid federally compliant Ohio driver’s license and driving record are both required.
