Summary

PURPOSE Oversees various systems projects of a highly complex nature; assembles project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides overall project management oversight and direction to team to ensure overall success of large, highly complex, multi-platform initiatives by developing appropriate project implementation plans that may include scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management. * Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and determines the need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes appropriate request for additional personnel. * Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools. * Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentation. * Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. * Collaborates to develop, and appropriately executes, a communication strategy, including stakeholder analysis, ongoing communications and adoption plans. * Negotiates with department managers, when necessary, regarding the support of required personnel within the company to ensure project continuity through completion. * Seeks opportunities to improve productivity, cost containment and improve project performance. * Manages relationships across organization and divisions to develop a thorough understanding of core business functions and align project with overall business objectives. * Conducts quality assurance audits in support of project quality plan, including project post-mortem assessments and suggest improvements in process or procedure. * Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. * Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises assigned employees, including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's Degree in a related field 5-7 Years experience in related field and/or project management experience Or equivalent education and experience COMPETENCIES * Strong project management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Excellent presentation and facilitation skills * Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills * Established strategic and critical analysis skills * Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
