What you'll be doing:

• Project Planning & Execution: Lead the charge in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables for media encoding and player development projects.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, designers, QA specialists, and product managers to implement cutting-edge video encoding workflows and playback solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Be the communication bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth alignment on project goals and priorities.
• Media Encoding & Playback Optimization: Improve encoding workflows, adaptive bitrate streaming, and player performance to deliver seamless video experiences across diverse platforms.
• Risk & Quality Management: Identify project risks and develop strategies to keep everything on track, while ensuring quality standards are met across devices and platforms.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience: You’ve got solid project management experience in video streaming workflows, video encoding, or player technologies – and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1), streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), DRM solutions (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady), and media players (Shaka, ExoPlayer, AVPlayer).
• Project Management Skills: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies and experience with project management tools like Jira or Trello.
• Communication: You’ve got excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Problem-solving: You’re a natural troubleshooter with strong analytical skills to resolve media encoding and playback challenges.

Bonus points if you have experience with cloud-based encoding solutions (AWS MediaConvert, FFmpeg) and video playback platforms (Apple, Android, LG, Samsung). 🌟
