Are you looking to help build and lead a team in the Charlottesville Virginia area? Responsible for Managing the $40 Million Dollar Design Build project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end project delivery, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of commercial construction practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a large-scale commercial construction project from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with the Field and Project Management teams to develop and implement comprehensive construction plans that align with project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and local officials to ensure seamless coordination across all project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control project timelines, costs, quality standards, and risk management efforts to maintain on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all work meets applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and forecasts to internal leadership and clients.

Qualifications

  • Design Build Experience
  • VDOT, NCDOT or MSHA experience
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects
  • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams and subcontractor performance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on client satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera/P6, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation: From $140,000 to $165,000 per year
