Senior Project Manager - Pharma Projects.

Required: Experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects within the pharmaceutical sector. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, leading multi-faceted projects from inception to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in Basel, Switzerland.

This role offers the chance to lead a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from smaller value initiatives to large-scale developments exceeding CHF 100 million. You will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of cutting-edge facilities, including offices, laboratories, and production plants, all within the thriving biopharmaceutical landscape of Basel.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing expert project leadership and day-to-day management for multiple pharmaceutical construction projects.
• Guiding and coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and delivery of project objectives and KPIs.
• Managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial brief and design development through planning, contractor procurement, and the construction phase, adhering to program timelines and milestones.
• Ensuring robust quality systems are in place and effectively managed to achieve service excellence.
• Proactively managing project budgets, identifying potential risks and challenges, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Leading and managing design and consultant teams collaboratively to ensure the successful completion of their responsibilities.
• Applying your strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls, and reporting to ensure project success.
• Utilizing your advanced communication, coordination, and collaboration skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Leveraging your deep understanding of project management methodologies and practices to drive efficient and effective project delivery.
• Demonstrating your competency in construction methodologies and sequencing to ensure smooth project progression.
• Adhering to local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to pharmaceutical project portfolios.

Requirements:

• Proven and successful experience in delivering construction projects specifically within the pharmaceutical sector.
• A solid understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls, and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
• A proven understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client relationships.
• Experience proactively managing internal budgets and fees to deliver agreed outcomes.
• A demonstrable understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• The ability to work full-time on-site in Basel.
• Relevant Project Management experience within the pharma, real estate, and FM sectors.

Desirable:

• Swiss German OR German language skills.
