We have a strong design sensibility, a passion for sustainable practices, and we manage projects from concept through construction.
Our designers are 100% in-office Monday through Thursday due to our commitment to collaborative design and mentoring, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Lead project teams through all project phases (design through construction administration) on primarily medium to large-scale commercial projects.
- Work closely with the project leader to establish project objectives and constraints, assessing for risk and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand project requirements, identify and resolve project issues, and provide project updates.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and allocation of resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Manage and coordinate project teams, including AMDG team members, consultants, and construction managers.
- Work closely with the project leader to implement appropriate quality assurance measures through all project phases (QC’s, Design Reviews, Budget Checks, etc)
- Reviews and approves pay applications, invoices and change orders.
- Establishes and leads project-related meetings, develops agendas, and distributes meeting minutes.
- Working closely with the Design Services Manager, review and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives and stakeholder interests.
Group Leader
- Serve as group leader to assigned AMDG team members, mentoring and leading by example through AMDG’s core values.
- Working with the Design Services Manager, responsible for leading, establishing and supporting professional development goals of assigned group members.
- Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews for all group members.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork within assigned group, recognizing accomplishments and guiding areas for improvement.
Project Management Discipline Lead
- Serves as Project Management thought leader within the Discipline Leads team and guides best practices and process improvements.
- Remains knowledgeable of industry trends/PM best practices and helps implement as appropriate within AMDG’s project delivery process.
- Develops and supports team members with project management processes and supports utilization/creation of project management resources and tools.
- Informs and prioritizes quarterly and annual objectives related to the Discipline Leads team and sits on appropriate tasks forces as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master of Architecture degree or significant experience serving as a project manager in the architecture industry.
- Licensed architect preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, leading medium to large scale commercial projects.
- Exceptional communicator and team player, with a strong collaborative attitude.
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage large-scale complex commercial design projects through all project phases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a solutions-driven mindset and ability to navigate and simplify complex challenges.
- Proficiency in project management and design tools preferred (e.g. Procore, Deltek/ERP’s, Bluebeam, Revit).
