As a Senior Project Manager based in Alaska, you will have a chance to be a leader in improving the water infrastructure across our state. As a key member of our team, you’ll have a chance to engage in challenging and engaging water projects – leading all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. You will assist with business development, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts to grow our business. You will also establish and maintain strong client relationships by communicating with clients on technical design topics and project schedule/budget/scope to develop long term strategy for continued market success. You will be responsible for leading project teams and communicating between diverse design disciplines for the delivery of designs and related studies. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the Project Manager and/or Program Manager- planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Here's What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering projects right here in Alaska as well as across the northwest, including all aspects of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and planning.
- Providing leadership and coordination to multi-discipline delivery teams.
- Managing and/or leading projects in accordance with the contract requirements and Jacobs’ business processes, driving profitability and building new business opportunities.
- Supporting the development of strategies and tactics related to key client programs, projects and overall portfolios.
- Collaborating with cross business market teams to build delivery teams and complete projects and programs.
- Working with business development and sales staff in their efforts to position for new opportunities and/or the preparation of proposals.
- Mentoring and developing staff located within the Anchorage office and beyond.
- Leading and supporting the public consultation process, representing projects with the community.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
- A minimum of 12 years of direct experience in the water/wastewater market or similar experience in public infrastructure project planning, design and construction
- Professional Engineer license (P.E.) or the ability to obtain an AK P.E. within 6 months of hire.
- A strong network with local municipalities or other water/wastewater clients, contractors and consultants in Alaska
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as high attention to detail
- The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- The ability to work on multiple and dynamic projects
- The ability to travel for associated work
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or demonstrated commensurate project management experience and skills with ability to obtain PMP within 6 months.
- A strong network with local municipalities or other water/wastewater clients
- Construction or facility operations experience

The base salary range for this position is $140,700.00 to $212,850.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
