3i is looking for a dedicated Construction Senior Project Engineer to join our team. Someone who will take ownership of the roles and responsibilities of this position. The Senior Project Engineer under the supervision of a Project Manager will assist in defining the project's objectives, scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables. They also assist in the planning and forecasting of budgets and timelines to ensure the project is completed on schedule. 3i’s Senior Project Engineer manages contractors of specific project scopes and vendors. They also assign responsibilities and provide training and mentorship to other Project Engineers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Understand Scope requirements and can answer pointed questions
Assist in the review of Subcontractor monthly payment applications
Assist in coordinating punch list items and procedures
Perform quality control inspections
Attend and occasionally lead project meetings, as directed by Project Manager and record meeting minutes
Assist and potentially complete project close-out
Review plans and other technical documents
Assist with bid analysis, constructability reviews and permit processing
Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals
Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs
Assist in management of project permit process
Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement
Identify long lead items and establish procurement priorities
Update construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress and materials delivery
Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders
Track and inspect material deliveries
Assists with reports regarding financial performance of the project
Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required
Attend Weekly OAC Meetings
Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel
Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
Assist project manager with assigned tasks.

Understand Construction Law
4-6 years of relevant construction experience
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field
Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Superior communication skills
Has a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
