This is an exciting opportunity to join an established architecture firm looking for another team leader. This Senior PM/PA—Director of Operations opportunity is an impactful role working directly with clients and the team. The Director of Operations (Senior PM/ PA) role requires an active leader who will be the primary point of contact for the internal team and clients, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. This individual will provide proactive mentorship to the design team while actively supporting administrative and operational functions to maintain efficiency. Day-to-day project management responsibilities will include overseeing all phases from schematic design to project closeout, managing project schedules, staff priorities, client expectations, and consultant coordination. Additionally, the role involves ensuring quality control through rigorous review processes, conducting site visits as needed, and maintaining compliance with office standards and industry best practices. Beyond project execution, this leader will contribute to strategic initiatives by supporting creative design solutions, technical detailing, code compliance, marketing efforts, and financial management in collaboration with the Principal.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Environmental Design
  • Licensed Architect
  • Depth of experience in architecture and team leadership
  • Proficiency with the following programs: REVIT, Bluebeam, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of the following programs preferred and beneficial: Smartsheets and MS Project
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Technical expertise in building systems and detailing
  • Ability to understand structural and MEP engineering concepts for efficient execution of design solutions
  • Managing project schedules
  • Managing staff priorities and deadlines
  • Managing client expectations and owner-required deliverables
  • Managing outcomes and providing problem-solving
