One of our top clients, a well-established and rapidly growing firm in the construction and real estate development sector, is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their dynamic team based out of Tysons. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple large-scale construction and development projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, job cost reports, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
• Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of project accounting experience, preferably in construction or real estate development.
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting and WIP schedules.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPA certification is a plus.
