Summary

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager (or Project Manager) to lead a Federal contract focused on the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of IBM Maximo, the enterprise asset management (EAM) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills leading a Federal contract, and in-depth familiarity with Maximo in an O&M environment. The strongest candidate would have existing clearance at any Federal agency who has also managed an upgrade of a Maximo solution. This role requires leadership, strategic oversight, client engagement, and the ability to manage cross-functional technical teams to ensure reliable system performance and compliance with Federal standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Federal client regarding all Maximo O&M project activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, support, and minor enhancements of the Maximo platform.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team including business analysts, Maximo developers, system administrators, and support staff.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, deliverables, risk mitigation plans, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to Federal IT governance, compliance, and security standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports, briefings, and contract deliverables.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of Maximo operations.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive environment between technical teams, stakeholders, and the client.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years managing Federal contracts.
  • Proven experience overseeing IBM Maximo O&M environments (preferably version 7.6 or higher).
  • Strong understanding of Federal acquisition regulations and contract management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
  • PMP Certification or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Maximo integrations (e.g., GIS, SCADA, ERP systems).
  • ITIL certification and understanding of IT service management principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Maximo implementations (e.g., AWS, Azure).


Work Environment:

  • Hybrid or remote work options depending on client requirements.
  • Occasional travel to client sites for meetings or reviews.
