We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead the development and execution of a newly established Distribution Project Management Office (PMO) for one of our major utility clients. This individual will play a major role in shaping the structure, strategy, and operational maturity of the PMO, which will support a portfolio of critical infrastructure projects across the Midwest. The Senior Program Manager will oversee a team of more than 50 project management professionals and serve as the primary point of contact for our client, ensuring seamless communication, alignment on strategic goals, and visibility into organizational growth. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to define scopes of work, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for resource planning and allocation, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the PMO.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with program management in the utility or energy industry.
-Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience with building out a program/projects through the entire phase gate processes: from cradle to grave. - Experience working with stakeholders on scopes, KPI’s, schedules, budgets and risk mitigation to ensure projects run efficiently.
- Experience with Gantt Charts, Process Flow/Mapping, and Strong Excel Skills.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement processes that increased productivity and program efficiency.
- Experience developing workload plans and managing teams.
- Proven examples resolving conflict and driving team goals.
- Experience tracking performance metrics and reporting on project status’ making improvements where necessary.
- Proven experience with project completion meeting required standards, deliverables, and quality.
- Experience reporting time sensitive/accurate data to billing specialists.

Hourly Pay: $67.93-$87.54/hr
3-5 year long contract assignment
