Job Summary
This position is a key liaison with an enterprise-wide view for all internal business owners requiring support for deploying Non-Retail Program Construction assets. Provides thought leadership, best in class and cost-effective facilities program management. Leads large team of project managers and vendors to execute against capital plan with best-in-class results in execution standards including impact on operations, capital budget and efficiencies. Create solutions that lead to improvements in processes and return of capital invested.
Job Responsibilities
Develops, and manages facilities program organizational effectiveness, capital budgets, and the reduction of program management costs
Tracks progress and communicates completion to program stakeholders and company leadership
Turns approved strategies into actionable goals and implements plans to meet expected outcomes
Plans, develops, organizes, directs, executes, tracks and controls 1000s of capital projects ($100+ million) per year
Ensures project management systems are implemented and utilized to control projects
Ensures ROI effectiveness through research of needs and decision of what is capital and what is not
Manages the entire cycle of facilities program process from inception to completion of projects in accordance with corporate standards/requirements, effective utilization of resources of funds, time, people and technology
Collaborates with procurement and other end users to corroborate and meet their facilities program capital investment needs
Collaborates with the Corporate Procurement obtain best value of products and services for facilities operations
Develops and drives establishing Best Practice and Best-In-Class facilities program strategies, policies and procedures in collaboration all stakeholders in the field to minimize costs
Supports the Tax and Rebate Team to secure and maximize available monetary incentives from utilities and/or federal/local governments
Supports the facilities with disaster response and disaster restorations

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in process improvement OR a High School diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in process improvement
Experience managing construction budgets in excess of $20M
Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
At least 2 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members
At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership
Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in construction project or program management OR a High School diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience in construction project or program management
Master’s degree / MBA
Experience reading and understanding architectural, civil and MEP drawings which advanced knowledge of construction costs and entitlement processes
Experience mitigating risk
At least 7 years of experience in process improvement
At least 4 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work
At least 3 years’ experience managing national programs with a major retailer or healthcare organization with direct program oversight of the program budget, execution teams and communication to vendors and store operations
Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
