We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with extensive experience with Defence and Capability Management in Canberra or Sydney.
The role will work within an Integrated Work Package via a Major Service Provider (MSP) - client facing to the Commonwealth of Australia.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Lead and manage ADF programs within the Maritime domain, with a strong focus on managing and overseeing FMS (Foreign Military Sales) processes
Apply in-depth knowledge of Export Control regulations, including ITAR, to ensure all project activities align with applicable international trade and defence requirements
Provide expertise in commercial and contractual arrangements, including MSP, ICTPA, and DSS frameworks
Proactively seek out additional responsibilities and opportunities to support ongoing client requirements, maintaining a reputation as the go-to advisor for commercial and logistics guidance within the team.
Develop, manage, and maintain strong working relationships across the Maritime branch and with external stakeholders
Bring extensive experience in Defence Program Management, while maintaining the flexibility to operate at a hands-on PSO level, including managing DSN meetings and supporting DPN TEAM engagements with U.S. counterparts.
What you have:
Hold an active AGSVA security clearance - minimum NV1
A thorough understanding of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) or Capability Life Cycle (CLC), including experience in the Maritime Domain
Ability to manage Defence programs and management of a PMO
Proven experience in export controls and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Proven experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes and management of FMS contracts
Tertiary qualifications or relative experience in Project or Program Management
