Reporting to the Head of Technical and Training, you will be responsible for product training for the full range of products in Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation. This position requires an excellent and experienced educator who has the ability to share their expertise in ways that highly motivate others. Taking ownership for the product training requirements of the business, continually reviewing how, when, where and what training to deliver, driving best practice and continuous professional development. Developing specialisms in Heatpumps, delivering a world class training proposition.
Accountabilities
Manage the GDHV UK training budget ensuring cost efficiency and return on investment.
Delivering World class training solutions to Key accounts and a diverse customer base.
Supporting the development and delivery of the strategic training roadmap for the GDHV business (across all brands and functions) to ensure employees and customers have the appropriate knowledge base, supporting customers across all product groups.
Design and develop effective product training and content, confidently delivering in all training methodologies, to ensure we offer a blended learning approach, driving best practice and enhance the learner experience.
Travel around the United Kingdom as required, to deliver product-related training, ensuring a professional, impactful and prompt service.
Create & deliver CPD presentations/training to encourage and meet personal development plans
Ensure all educational material is relevant, prepared to a high standard and published onto The Academy, Glen Dimplex’ training platform, ensuring availability to the relevant audience
Facilitate seminars, workshops and individual training sessions as required, supporting customers and 3rd party installers/repair engineers, through installation and product sales
Liaise with customers, 3rd party installers/repair engineers and managers throughout the business to complete training needs analysis and schedule training solutions that will drive knowledge, competence and promote best practice
Provide support to new product development based on lessons learnt from customers, employees, 3rd party installers/repair engineers, through training interventions delivered, improving future training solutions
Develop managers and others to deliver training as required, ensuring training collateral is consistently available, accurate and meets the needs of the trainee
Conduct evaluations to identify areas of continual improvement
Ensure training locations drive an engaging learning experience, support world class training and are effectively scheduled
Monitor employee performance and customer response to product training, identify any actions to drive continuous improvement
Develop trend analysis to provide insight into training delivery and effectiveness
Ensure training records are maintained and are accurate
Develop the team to ensure consistency of content delivery
Maintain a strong knowledge of client-specific procedures and policies
Work to agreed objectives & KPI’s, exceeding them where possible
Manage and prioritise own workloads, escalating where appropriate
Fully embrace Treating Customers Fairly, and conduct business in a manner that conforms to this
Ensure all training services adhere to GDPR regulations and consistently comply with Health and Safety Regulations in all aspects of general duties
Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the Head of Product and Brand Marketing or the Chief Marketing Officer.

Essential
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Proven, strong experience in product training as a corporate trainer
Experience of effective teaching methodologies and tools
A good understanding of Learning Management Systems
Experience of content creation for use in an LMS, including Adobe, Microsoft Suite, Powerpoint and strong skills in MS Office and Excel
Experience in creating E learning, Webinar and Seminar training material / content
Be confident in the creation of tutorial videos
Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills
Good negotiation and customer management skills
Possess strong drive, purpose and vision
Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
Proactive persistent and solution orientated
Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously, through to conclusion.
Proficient leadership and team management skills to manage workload and actively participate in meetings
Experience in delivering training to varying audiences
Good financial acumen and strong commercial awareness
Well-developed analytical skills
Very strong organisational and time management skills
University Degree and a post-graduate qualification in training, CIPD. Other suitable and relevant qualifications will also be considered
A commitment to continuous improvement both personally and for the role
Have / hold a recognised teaching / training qualification
Have / hold a recognised electrical qualification
Have experience with electric heating & household appliances
Have a good understanding of Electrical & Mechanical engineering
Proven ability to learn new product platforms and deliver training as required

Demonstrate honesty and integrity
The ability to plan, set goals and organise effectively to achieve objectives
Team player who encourages positive communication and respect
NICEIC - able to develop and deliver training to heat pump training in line with or equivalent to LCL, BPEC and NICEIC up to level 3.
DESIRABLE
Have a formal H&S qualification.
Have / hold a recognised Gas Qualification
Have existing product knowledge.
Have experience of using Totara system
Have experience in working in / with our GDHV key business areas, Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Councils, Electrical & Mechanical trading sectors, End product users.
Effective and established problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work/assist with projects outside of their remit e.g. shows and events
Adaptability to grasp modern technology quickly;
