Sr. Procurement Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of experience or equivalent in sourcing raw materials, negotiating annual / quarterly pricing and volume agreements, collaborating with key suppliers to align on 120-day demand forecast, leading the development of a standard purchasing policy, and exceptional leadership capabilities to optimize productivity and proficiency. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic procurement initiatives that align with organizational objectives to meet organizational goals. The position is primarily remote; however, travel will be required to support the business on occasion. Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Procurement Leadership: * Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aimed at improving efficiency and streamlining purchasing processes. * Manage the supplier selection and qualification process ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery requirements, and cost-effectiveness. * Analyze market trends to strategically plan for future procurement needs. * Foster relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships that benefit both parties. * Operational Excellence: * Oversee contract development, ensuring compliance with terms, lead-times and conditions while managing risk exposure. * Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department aimed at fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and transparency. * Team Leadership: * Work closely with departments such as operations, production, and logistics to develop and implement procurement strategies with business objectives. Serve as a senior advisor to executive management on procurement activities and supplier performance. * Networking and Industry Engagement: * Create Strategic Sourcing repository and work closely with members of our senior leadership to create and execute our supplier strategy. * Develop strong relationships to stay ahead of supply chain developments, pricing fluctuations, and industry trends. * Represent the company at industry forums to identify opportunities for strategic collaboration with industry peers and suppliers. * Compliance and Reporting: * Monitor procurement budgets and performance metrics while identifying opportunities for cost reduction. * Deliver regular reports on procurement effectiveness, supplier risk management, and contract status. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred or required) * 10+ years' procurement experience, ideally in commodity purchases * Demonstrated expertise in negotiating supplier contracts, including terms & conditions and managing relationships with pricing models. * Proven track record of driving process improvements within complex supply chains including vendor management analysis. * Proficient in Microsoft Office software; data analysis tools; online contract management systems.
