Position: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Pickering, ON

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the SVP, R&D, this Senior Process Engineer will:

• Lead process development efforts on mixing/blending/granulating formulations of powders and slurries.
• Create experimental study plans and protocols for optimizing process parameters.
• Assist with process validation planning and analysis.
• Transfer manufacturing processes to production team.
• Write necessary Standard Operating Procedures and reports.
• Determine appropriate manufacturing equipment for pilot and production scale .
• Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for R&D team.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or related field required, 10+ years preferred.
• Process development and/or manufacturing experience involving powders required.
• Experience in cGMP environments required.
• Knowledge of analytical methods and characterization of powders recommended.
• Good communication and writing skills.
