Senior Pricing Analyst

Location: Mississauga, Ontario / Houston, Texas


As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will assist with the strategy and management of Just Energy’s product and price catalogue, work with Sales leadership to maximize our reach and drive profitable growth. You will collaborate with teams across the company to identify and evaluate strategies that foster long-term customer relationships.

Your key accountabilities:

· Gain an expert understanding of energy markets to help Just Energy gain a competitive advantage – track competitor offers, opportunities, and stay informed of regulatory environments

· Maximize gross margin through proactive pricing updates and monitoring of costs, for both new and existing customers

· Build financial models to conduct scenario analysis and propose data-driven decisions

· Design new consumer products and drive their go-to-market strategy, taking ownership of all product-related content and implementation

· Project Management of key organizational and team initiatives related to products, pricing, and marketing strategies

· Complete ad-hoc requests to support other departments within defined SLA’s

· Set revenue rates across all markets and channels to help meet corporate metrics, ensuring rates are approved, implemented, and tested in a timely manner

· Drive business process improvement by identifying areas within Pricing and Products for automation and optimization, and collaborate with business and operations partners to implement relevant changes that enhance efficiency and streamline workflows

· Document team SOP’s and control points to reduce our company’s risk profile and improve efficiencies. Ensure standardization of processes wherever possible.

· Consolidate business requirements and perform UAT for our sales and billing applications, to ensure that commodity product features are highlighted and executed correctly, and that regulatory requirements are satisfied


What you bring to the table:

· University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, mathematics, business, or engineering

· 5+ years of demonstrated success using your analytic prowess to help businesses drive profitable growth – financial services and consumer products industries preferred

· Ability to persuade colleagues at different levels of management using data-informed findings

· A passion for problem solving, resolution management, and overall process improvement

· Expert proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analytics/reporting tools
