We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on a highly scalable, modern platform, impacting millions of users. This requires a highly stable and scalable architecture. We're enhancing the framework, strengthening robustness, and optimizing core functionalities such as authorization, routing, and component interaction to ensure seamless performance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Refactor and optimize legacy PHP code to improve performance and maintainability.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle (planning, development, testing, and deployment).
• Mentor and support full-stack developers, enhancing their backend expertise.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to design and implement scalable backend solutions.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PHP development, with Symfony as the preferred framework.
• Proven ability to improve code scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Experience building backend systems from scratch.
• Location - all Romania
• Ability to travel for 3-4 days per month to Amsterdam during the first 3 months of work;
• Upper-intermediate+ English.
