JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, and optics engineers to define requirements and conduct design reviews * Identify key circuit components and simulate circuit performance via Spice * Manage and maintain schematic symbols and footprint libraries as well as schematic and PCB templates * Perform post-layout simulation for signal and power integrity using Mentor HyperLynx * Own the PCB Design process, incl. placement, routing, fabrication and assembly package, and support with testing the PCBs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * BS / MS Degree in PB.Sc./M.Sc. with 5+ years of experience PCB schematic and layout design experience * Experience with Altium Designer for multi-layer and HDI PCB design * Experience with controlled impedance, length/delay matching, differential RF signal routing, and digital busses (DDR4, PCIe, 10GbE, etc.) * Experience with Rigid-Flex or Flex designs for high-frequency interconnections * Familiarity with analog, RF, mixed-signal, and digital circuit design * Comfortable with using a range of lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc. * Good technical writing skills for documenting design specifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATION * Experience with designing electronics for optical interfaces * Background in lidar or FMCW radar * Familiarity with IPC 6012 & IPC 6013 is a plus * Expertise in Automotive Electronics and high-quantity production designs * Familiar with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, etc.
