Our client is looking for an Oracle Exadata and Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) DBA.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

Oracle Database administration:

• Perform database backups and recovery procedures.

• Manage database users, roles, and permissions.

• Optimize database performance through tuning and indexing.

• Monitor database health and performance using monitoring tools.

• Participate in database upgrades and migrations.

Exadata Management:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Exadata systems.

• Monitor and troubleshoot Exadata infrastructure and database performance.

• Perform capacity planning and resource allocation for Exadata environments.

• Manage Exadata storage and network components.

• Ensure the availability and performance of Oracle databases running on Exadata.

Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) Management:

• Design, implement, and manage Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.

• Configure and optimize OGG capture and apply processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OGG replication.

• Ensure data consistency and integrity across replicated databases.

• Manage OGG security and access controls.

Other

• Develop and maintain scripts for automating tasks.

• Document procedures and configurations.

• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., network, storage).

• Provide 24/7 support for critical systems, including on-call rotations.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience :

Oracle Database

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 19c.

• Experience with Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and ASM.

• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and RMAN.

• Experience with database replication technologies (e.g., Data Guard, GoldenGate).

Exadata

• Experience with Oracle Exadata architecture, storage, and network components.

• Familiarity with Exadata System Software and monitoring tools (e.g., ExaWatcher).

Oracle GoldenGate (OGG)

• Experience with configuring and managing Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.

• Knowledge of OGG capture and apply processes.

• Experience with OGG monitoring and troubleshooting.

Other

• Experience in Oracle Linux administration.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl)

• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• 5 or more years of Technical experience across Oracle technologies in terms of architecture, design , implementation, and support.

• Relevant Oracle DBA qualifications / certifications.

• Experience working with Oracle Exadata and OGG.
