About The Job:

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimization of complex Oracle database systems in a high-availability, mission-critical airline environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including application developers, infrastructure teams, and business units to ensure performance, security, and reliability of all Oracle-based systems

This position will be:

• Manage and maintain Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Exadata environments.
• Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
• Ensure database backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability strategies are in place and regularly tested.
• Implement Oracle options and features including partitioning, advanced security, diagnostics, and data masking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents in a timely manner, including performance and availability issues.
• Work with developers to review and optimize SQL queries and schema designs.
• Linux OS installation and administration knowledge
• Document procedures, configurations, and standards.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Proven expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, and Data Guard.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and performance tuning in high-volume environments.
• Solid understanding of Oracle database internals, troubleshooting tools, and diagnostic utilities.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), AWR, ASH, and SQL tuning tools.
• Knowledge of Oracle security options and compliance practices.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, or PL/SQL) for automation.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 mission-critical environment (on-call rotation as needed).

Preferred Knowledge:

• Experience in Exadata Database Machine administration
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCA) or higher certification.
• Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate or other replication technologies.
