Senior Operations Controller – Renewables Join a leading company in the renewable energy sector and contribute to the future of sustainable power. We are currently seeking a Senior Operation Controller for our Engineering and Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring and ensuring the smooth operation of our wind and solar farms across multiple countries in Europe and Africa. Key Responsibilities: Site Monitoring: Monitor wind and solar plants, detecting and resolving alarms and malfunctions across Europe. Coordinate on-site interventions and communicate with network managers and turbines. Optimize intervention programs considering factors such as wind forecast, market price, and operational constraints. Provide technical support for various Scada solutions. Monitor alerts and track curtailment issues. Compliance with Protocols and Safety Rules: Control access authorizations and share information with project managers and subcontractors. Initiate crisis management procedures when necessary. Collaborate closely with the HSE team and other operational teams. Performance Indicator Tracking: Manage and allocate events on our Monitoring system. Monitor power curves, temperature, and key operating indicators. Report and address communication problems. Contribute to the development of control center KPIs. Define trackers for monitoring OCC task performance. Additional Responsibilities: Support other projects under acquisition. Collaborate with suppliers and providers regarding team tools and solutions. Ensure data quality control and download. Assist the asset manager and site support team with wind turbine inspections. Participate in on-call duty. Contribute to process and tool optimization, including Python code development and use of PowerApps. Provide suggestions for improvements. Act as a key contact within the department for support on our second layer Scada web platform. Requirements: Qualifications: Engineering school or Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Renewable Projects, Data Science, or related fields (Physics, Mechanics, etc.). 4-5 years of work experience in the renewables industry or in a supervision/monitoring centre. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics and programming. Good computer skills and an interest in exploring new tools. Good level of English proficiency.
