Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Backend Developer with 3+ years of relevant experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our server-side applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Node.js development, database management, and RESTful API design.

## Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
- Implement robust and efficient database solutions
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

## Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional experience with Node.js backend development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with server-side frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
- Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Platform
- Solid understanding of database technologies (especially Firebase Firestore/Realtime Database)
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for building scalable applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English

## Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with healthcare or health-tech applications
- Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and Firebase ecosystem
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
