Our Fortune 100 telecom client is hiring a Senior Network Technician to join their Business Operations Surveillance Support team. In this role you will act as a subject matter expert in complex telecommunications networks and processes. You’re required to be knowledgeable in advanced remote network surveillance and first tier troubleshooting as well as network verification and change management.

Responsibilities

• Test, locate, and repair equipment and network issues in telecommunications environments to ensure seamless operation.
• Address configuration faults and troubleshoot interface problems with transport vendors for optimal network performance.
• Work across diverse network elements including GSM, UMTS, LTE Radio Access networks, IP networks, and critical system components.
• Mentor, direct, and train technicians in fault identification, isolation, resolution, and system upgrades.
• Verify system operation post-upgrades to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of professional experience in a similar network technician or senior network technician role.
• Ability to use ticketing tools such as Service Now, OneConsole, and Axiom.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. DIAMETER, GTP, DNS, ENUM) relevant to core network operations.
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize a large suite of network troubleshooting tools (e.g. NetScout, Wireshark, RAN tools, CDR tools, provisioning tools).
• Proven experience with OEMs such as Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenier, Cisco, JMA, Corning, Commscope, ADRF, Solid.
• Ability to partner with internal cross-functional Technology teams on complex issues
