Job Title: Senior Network & Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
• Maintain load balancers to ensure optimal application delivery and performance.
• Configure and manage firewalls alongside team members to ensure robust security measures.
• Support the management of Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect web applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning for network devices and firewalls.
• Provide incident response for network-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Participate in network and firewall related projects from inception to completion, aligning with business objectives and collaborating closely with the Team Lead.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
• Assist in managing relationships with network and security vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and support.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and vendors to improve network performance and security posture.
• Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational policies regarding network security and propose enhancements as necessary.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network and system engineering, with a strong focus on F5, firewalls, and WAF technologies.
• Proven track record of managing complex network projects and vendor relationships.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, F5 Certified, or similar are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Proficiency in firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, CheckPoint etc.) and WAF solutions.
• Experience with monitoring and management tools for network performance analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
