I am partnered with a very well-funded Network-as-a-Service startup that builds and manages a vertically integrated solution across hardware, software, and operations. The company's mission is to build hardware and software, then be an extension of the customer’s IT team, and evolve internet infrastructure into a utility. For a Senior Network Support Engineer, this will be a unique opportunity to influence the shape and direction of the Support Engineering function.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Resolve issues, end-to-end, across the full stack, including wireless, wired and security devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex, time-sensitive network issues across wired, wireless, and security device
  • Act as the SME for escalations related to Security, Firewalls, and VPNs
  • Support a wide-array of customers, from the fastest growing AI companies, to the most established retailers and logistics companies, to the best schools and universities.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team on feature requests, bug fixes, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams on new deployments, configuration changes, and documentation
  • Develop proactive monitoring strategies and comprehensive playbooks to enhance support operations.
  • Support customers on feature requests, bugs, and workflow improvements.
  • Assist with advanced configuration and design changes (e.g., Firewall rules, S2S VPN, advanced VLAN setups).
  • Diagnose firmware issues, analyze packet exchanges, and troubleshoot network performance problems


Skills / Experience Needed:

  • 5+ years of experience in network support engineering, with deep expertise in security technologies and firewall products.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise clients in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong expertise across the full networking stack (wired, wireless, firewalls), with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring, configuration management, and optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and networking protocols
  • Hands-on experience with in depth troubleshooting on network devices.
  • At least one certification (CCNA, CWNA, CCNP, or CCIE).
  • Strong client-facing experience in high-touch enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to handle escalated technical issues
  • Available to provide coverage from 9AM to 6PM Pacific Time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
