Job Overview
In this role, you will help develop and lead network services activities alongside diverse Infrastructure and Global Networks teams across multiple time zones, delivering change and transformation to business-critical services, which may involve occasional out-of-hours' work.
You will demonstrate your expertise in key network services, including DNS, DHCP, NTP, load-balancing and NAC. Additionally, your knowledge of automation techniques and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) will ensure the development of efficient, scalable and secure solutions for Arm.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, has strong technical skills, and has a proven track record of working under pressure while maintaining a proactive, can-do approach to developing technically sophisticated solutions. You can demonstrate ownership of technical deliverables to a focused timeline without slippage, develop sound technical documentation and openly share knowledge to help others grow.
Responsibilities
- Developing and reviewing the existing network service architecture by understanding technical and continuously evolving business and security requirements to ensure the existing services fit the purpose.
- Maintain focus and ownership with a positive approach to technical deliverables across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with partners across IT, infrastructure, and operations teams to identify improvements, lead technical initiatives, and support the network globally, focusing on the end-user experience.
- Technical documentation writing, assessment, approval, and feedback on HLDs, and LLDs for Global Networks.
- Assist with a shift left approach for operational activities and develop the existing Network Operations team with priority activities specific to network services.
- Mentor and develop the broader teams' knowledge globally where required.
Required Skills And Experience
- A highly motivated, self-driven and trustworthy individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an inclusive approach.
- An excellent understanding of Windows DNS, DHCP, Bluecat, F5 load-balancer and Cisco ISE, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure principles.
- Demonstrate a sound foundation in network security principles and firewall deployments.
- Have demonstrable knowledge of resilient global network service deployments.
- Have a solid understanding of network automation and scripting ideally with Ansible and Terraform.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of network routing, switching, associated protocols and firewall technology.
- A proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams with varying technical capabilities.
