Role summary
This is a varied role that requires some technical design ability in standard networking and security technologies with extensive 3rd level support and environment management experience.
The role is part of a skilled project team in an enterprise customer environment providing remote technical support and project services on behalf of Triangle.
You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of core physical and virtual networking infrastructure and have engaged with enterprise customers to design, implement and support solutions based on the customer’s specific use case and requirements.
The Senior Consultant will work closely with Triangle Architects and the client and be able to take ownership of complex solutions and take them to completion with minimal supervision or review. The candidate must also be able to take ownership of complex issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
Job Title: Senior Consultant - Networking & Security

Reports to: Professional Services Manager
Role responsibilities:
Act as senior technical support for multiple customer environments across managed service and project engagements
Effectively deal with high priority and escalated customer technical issues. Follow and engage with standard incident, problem and change management processes to meet defined service level agreements including root cause analysis of critical incidents
Escalate issues appropriately internally within Triangle or to relevant vendor while remaining within service levels
Pro-actively search out potential issues in the environment and resolve them before they become a problem
Systems management design activities, including s/w level reviews for patching and
upgrades, capacity management and performance management activities
Enterprise level systems management and monitoring experience
Act as reliable technical design resource for client project requests and new opportunities
Creation and review of customer technical proposals, including high-level design and estimates that meet customer’s needs
Creation and review of Solution Specifications
Installation and delivery of solutions on customer site
Create and own full project and solution technical documentation to Triangle and customer standards
Have excellent oral and written communication skills for effective dialogue with customers, colleagues and superiors
Role specific requirements
The position requires deep technical knowledge along with strong communication skills. You will be able to lead with hands-on skills from requirements gathering and design to deployment and operational readiness for ongoing environment management. You should have experience and understanding of physical as well as virtual networks, be proficient in Check Point firewalling and load balancing technologies. Experience is required in three or more of the following:
Network (Cisco Nexus and/or Dell HCI) - 4+ years’ experience required, CCNA certification minimum, CCNP highly desirable
Check Point Firewalls - 4+ years of either required, CCSA certification minimum, CCSE highly desirable
Experience of design and deployment of Check Point certificate based authentication
Experience using Check Point inspect constructs for monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience using Check Point policy inline layers
F5 Load Balancer / WAF - 4+ years of either required
Understanding of NSX-T overlay networking such as logical routing and switching and NSX-T load balancing and services desirable
Understanding of vSphere layer two networking in a HCI environment highly desirable
An understanding of the complementary elements of Hyper-Converged infrastructure is preferable as you will be working alongside consultants to build and migrate to HCI solutions, as well as troubleshooting existing implementations.
You must also have:
Technical design ability
Strong expertise in the implementation and configuration of networking and security solutions, both physical and virtual
Design and Implementation of High Availability Solutions required
Cloud management tools experience highly desirable
ITIL Foundation Certified highly desirable
Linux experience desirable
Scripting skills for system administration purposes highly desirable
Full driving license
