Program Description

Ennoble First leads DISA's Technology Engineering Services (TES) program, providing technical and engineering support for pilot projects, technology prototypes, and emerging technology research. We deliver system integration, evaluation, and O&M across cloud environments and lab infrastructures. This role supports network architecture design, database integration, and virtualization efforts that directly contribute to the lab's mission to test, integrate, and sustain cutting-edge systems in support of DoD innovation.

Position Description

The Senior Network Engineer/Administrator will perform advanced duties in the design, development, installation, upgrade, integration, and administration of the DISA TAC Lab wired and wireless network infrastructure. This includes monitoring network servers, equipment, and devices for performance and stability, and managing cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure. The role also entails maintaining Windows, Linux, and VMware systems while providing database and systems support. Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the DISA TAC lab network architecture (switching, routing, security).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Configure and maintain VoIP infrastructure, wireless systems, SANs, and backup/restore systems.
  • Administer Citrix environments, Windows and Linux systems, AWS and/or Azure platforms.
  • Install, maintain, and secure network operating system software and infrastructure applications.
  • Monitor network traffic and analyze system performance.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies and standards.
  • Lead network installation and migration projects.
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of hardware and software systems.
  • Provide technical advice and training for internal support staff.
  • Develops prototype systems to test for integration, feasibility and reliability; conducts cost benefit analyses; participates in the selection of vendors; develops support and training materials for user support staff on new technologies and their integration in the DISA TAC lab's network infrastructure.
  • Designs, Develops and administers Databases relational, object, SQL, NOSQL Databases for product and technology validations on virtual/Cloud environment.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (4+ years of relevant experience can be substituted).
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in network infrastructure design and management.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Experience in virtual environments (VMware), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), backup/restore and disaster recovery (DR COOP).
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, SANs, VoIP, and wireless infrastructures.
  • Strong scripting and programming knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DISA systems and U.S. government network infrastructures.
  • Expertise with Splunk Enterprise, f5 Firewalls, SIEM, and database administration (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Experience with VMWare-based systems and enterprise server management.

Pay Range:

$110,000–$135,000

The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
