Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Supreme Court of the United States. The position is full time, and the work site is located in Washington DC. Duties Include: * Operate, optimize or audit Palo Alto or Fortinet -next generation- Firewalls with application layer (L7) policy * Design, implement, operate or optimize enterprise wireless networks * Operate and optimize switches and routers utilizing open sourced routing protocols (OSPF) * Operate and optimize Hardware Load Balancers * Operate and optimize Network Management systems to include: SolarWinds, Gem X, netbox, Cisco Prime, Fortimanager, Panorama, PTRG, Ansible, Git, or other SDN Orchestration products* CCNA or CCNP * 7+ years of experience as a network engineer * Experience supporting federal government preferred * Router configurations (WAN, routing protocols, etc.) * Firewall configurations * Load Balancer (F5 for example) * Wireless background * Switches, Vlans, cabling etc. * DNS * Understanding of packet capture technologies and how to review machine level communication from TCP/UDP perspective * Resumes that explicitly list experiences or skill levels in specific network transport L2-L4 protocols * Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
