As a Senior Network Engineer you will be a member of a global IT Network team responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing the global IT network infrastructure. This includes the Firewall & VPN systems, network routing & switching, other LAN and WAN based technologies, WiFi infrastructure, and other network related tasks.

Preferable: Solarwinds Orion (IPAM, Monitoring), Aruba ClearPass (NAC), Palo Alto Networks (FW). Familiarity of Adtran equipment is a plus.

Your Other Tasks And Responsibilities

• Operation and support of the worldwide VPN network between corporate locations as well as partners, customers and remote users
• Work with IT Security for Incident Management
• Risk and change management of the network infrastructure as well as the optimization of existing processes
• Handling of customer and internal department network infrastructure requirements
• Support for technical and network related questions of employees
• Involvement in global IT projects concerning IT networks
• Technical documentation of the IT network infrastructure
  
  

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science or comparable studies
• 5 or more years of experience in the administration and operation of IT network systems
• Ability to detect and resolve bugs and problems in complex networks
• Structured and analytical approach to solving problems
• Fluency in spoken and written English, German language – nice to have
• You enjoy working independently in an international team
• Willingness to travel and time-flexible work
