Summary

This is a newly created position to help meet the IT needs of Fortinet’s rapidly growing workforce. With over 10,000 people worldwide (and growing) and the implementation of new IT systems, we are looking for a mid-level Network Administrator to help us ensure 24x7 network support. In this critical role you will be based in our Sunnyvale Headquarters and support our global distribution of network and server systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a network security company and utilize the latest systems and equipment to support our network availability. Responsibilities: • Deliver network implementation and remediation projects to meet demands • Identify, diagnose and resolve network problem, analyze root cause • Install, maintains and upgrade network hardware, software, and operating systems • Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information • Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access • Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problem and outages • Coordinates and communicates with users • Responds to and resolves support requests • Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours Skills and requirements: • 5+ years of experience in network administration • Certifications in one or more of the following: CCNP and CCNA, Fortinet certification a plus • Comprehensive understanding of networking hardware and infrastructure • Experience in troubleshooting network problems • Strong L2/L3 switching experience and knowledge • Extensive knowledge with routing protocols including OSPF, and BGP • Experience managing MPLS, IPSec VPN encryption platforms and policies • Expert knowledge TCP/IP, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, operation systems and applications data flows • Expertise in firewall platforms, network security such as AV, IPS, DLP • Working experience with IPv6 deployment is highly desirable. • Experience on Wifi and VoIP a plus • Hands-on experience supporting networking in 24 x 7 enterprise environments • Strong multi-tasking abilities • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure • Excellent English oral and written communications skills • Occasional travels within the U.S. to deploy new Fortinet branch offices; maintain and upgrade the current branch offices • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs of equipment needed for deployment at Fortinet branch offices Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent education and experience) Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $95,000 - $130,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion
