Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency in the Ft. Meade, MD area. *This role required an active Secret Clearance. * Responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer: * Serve as the SME on all Juniper products * Conduct validation testing for new features, configurations, and network designs in a lab setting before deployment in production environments. * Assess and apply patches to network systems, verifying proper functionality in testing environments before implementation in live networks. * Identify and resolve hardware and network-related issues * Generate detailed reports outlining network architecture, troubleshooting activities, and performance assessments for customer reference * Lead network discovery sessions with the customer to gather requirements and evaluate existing infrastructure for future deployments. Qualifications of the Senior Network Engineer: * 5+ years of experience working in a large service provider network (required) * Extensive experience in Service Provider Networks and implementing/supporting networking products in ISP environments * Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) * Juniper product knowledge & ability to explain * Strong understanding of IP network protocols such as TCP/IP, RSVP, Segment Routing) and troubleshooting protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS) * Extensive experience with Service Provider VPN technologies * Juniper Platform experience (EX, MX, SRX, QFX) * Certifications: JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE (highly preferred) * Must have active secret clearance * Bachelor's degree in related field Compensation of the Senior Network Engineer: * Between: $160,000 - $220,000 *based on years of relevant experience* * Comprehensive Benefits: Full Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k, PTO (Paid Time Off), & Sick leave as required by law This job opens for applications on 05/16/2025.
