Senior Network Engineer – Customer Implementation

Long-Term Contract (1.5 years)

Our Fortune 100 telecom client is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join their Enterprise Business Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of network systems related to messaging, data, and voice. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to deploy cutting-edge network solutions that meet both technical and business requirements. This position will involve complex customer implementations, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end production network and solutions design review, validation, testing, and operations acceptance for new or expanded nodes/platforms and services across Voice, Data, Messaging, and Mobile Internet networks.
• Conduct expert-level diagnostic investigations of customer-impacting network issues using professional concepts.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and advice to engineers involved in diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, and operating the network.
• Evaluate and report on design, reliability, and maintenance issues to relevant design or vendor organizations, recommending improvements to enhance customer experience and long-term service reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
• Analyze design, reliability, and maintenance issues, providing improvement recommendations to relevant organizations.
• Oversee and coordinate network changes, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations and maintaining full change management documentation.
• Undertake assignments requiring considerable initiative and judgment with minimal instruction for daily tasks and general guidance for new assignments.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer or in a similar senior technical role, with expertise in messaging, data, and voice network implementations.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing network solutions for messaging platforms (e.g., email, SMS), data services, and voice over IP (VoIP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
• Proven track record of successful customer-facing implementations and troubleshooting of complex network environments.
• Proficiency with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.) and network monitoring tools.
• Proven experience with OEMs such as Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenier, Cisco, JMA, Corning, Commscope, ADRF, Solid.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, etc.) are a plus
• Enterprise or Government oriented experience is a plus
