About The Role

The Senior Network engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network solutions across a variety of high-impact client projects. You will be a key component in architecting, designing and deploying new solutions to key clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical consultations and workshops with clients to understand requirements
• Perform network audits and assessments to identify improvement opportunities
• Develop high-level and detailed design documentation, diagrams, and test plans
• Present technical designs and migration strategies to client stakeholders
• Install and configure advanced network infrastructure based on project designs
• Execute testing, prepare reports, and participate in change control processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including vendor escalation
• Mentor and support junior engineers as needed
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope
• Work with vendors to scope and build accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs)

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience in network design and implementation
• Network Architecture experience
• Deep understanding of core networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, OSI model)
• Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting networks
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, positive attitude
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Highly Desirable Skills

• Cisco ACI design and implementation
• Palo Alto firewall experience
• Cisco ISE and Cisco Viptela SD-WAN deployment
• MPLS-based network design
• Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, Terraform, GHE, ADO)
• Industry certifications (CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE or equivalent)
